Spannocchia is a secluded place near Florence, Italy, where I found myself in 2019 and 2025 going through transitional periods in my life. In the quiet of the woods, I let go of the burdens I’d been carrying for a very long time. Unloading what I had accumulated, the new emptiness came as a warm welcome, as a chance to heal the hurts I had tucked away for so long, no longer afraid to come home to myself.
